Our research team is developing intimacy-supportive technologies for space environments. A range of new projects are underway and will be announced soon.
The 2suit Project
As a first initiative, we are building a replica of Vanna Bonta’s 2Suit — the only known garment designed and tested to enable intimacy in microgravity. The 2Suit incorporates Velcro panels that allow two people to “dock” together in weightlessness. With the generous support and permission of the inventor’s husband, Allen Newcomb, we now have the rare opportunity to faithfully recreate this prototype and honour Vanna Bonta’s legacy.

Recruitment Opportunity
We invite artists, designers, and makers at academic institutions in the Montreal area to collaborate on the development of intimacy-supportive prototypes for use in space environments.
We are especially seeking individuals with expertise in garment construction, sewing, textiles, and materials.
If interested in contributing to this project, please contact us.
Join us in pioneering the first technologies that will make human intimacy possible beyond Earth.
